AI answering · planned offering

A useful answer.
A clear next step.

An AI receptionist can answer routine business questions, collect a request and attempt a handoff through a supported phone workflow. ConnectPBX is developing this as a separately assessed offering. General commercial availability, integrations and the accepted configuration must be confirmed before activation.

Start with the calls you want handled

Choose a limited set of questions: your hours, the services you offer, the information needed for a callback and when a caller should reach a person. Keep the business information current and assign someone to review unresolved requests.

For a routine service inquiry, the desired outcome might be a complete callback request. For another business it might be a connected conversation with an employee. Those are different outcomes, and the demonstration should show the one you need.

What to verify in a pilot

  1. The assistant uses your approved business information and recognizes its limits.
  2. A caller can ask for a person, and an accepted transfer has audio in both directions.
  3. Declined and unanswered transfers lead to a defined fallback.
  4. Requests reach the person responsible for follow-up.
  5. Usage limits and service failures have tested alternatives.
  6. Any confirmed booking has a real receipt in the correct calendar.

A synthetic demo is a way to explore a workflow. It does not establish live carrier compatibility, language coverage or production integration acceptance. Ask to see evidence for your actual configuration.

Phone service and AI have separate costs

A ConnectPBX phone subscription does not include an approved AI receptionist offer. The full fee schedule distinguishes ordinary conversation minutes, forwarding and the illustrative AI planning model. The planned AI model has a capped allowance; it is not an unlimited-use promise.

Ask for the total cost of a realistic call: the AI portion, time connected to an employee, any cellphone forwarding, setup and applicable additional charges. A commercial offer must specify the usage allowance and what happens when it is exhausted.

Know the limits before relying on it

A request is not a confirmed appointment, a transfer attempt is not a connected call, and an automated summary is not proof that work was completed. AI answering is not a substitute for emergency services or professional judgment.

Confirm recording notices, access to records, retention and the responsibilities of your team. Do not place sensitive customer details in a public sales inquiry. Review the privacy policy and ask about requirements specific to your organization.

Plan your next step

Request a pilot assessment with the calls you receive, your business hours, number of employees and desired handoff. We will review eligibility and availability before proposing activation.
